AND she gives cardmaking tutorials on her blog. She has the most wonderful Etsy shop seasonaldelights. I love to share with you things I love, and I love Kelli's work!

My miniature chair collection

Here's my mini chair collection. Holly of The Pink Rose Cottage had an interesting post recently about "accidental collections" - those that you didn't start intentionally, they just happened. One of mine is my miniature chairs - don't know why, I just love little chairs. I had bought 2 or 3 and then realized I had started collecting. I will continue in my search for more...

Another upcycle project....

I redid these old brass candleholders, painted them, shabbied them a bit with sandpaper, then sprayed a little sealant to give them a bit of gloss, tied some old lace and added vintage black rhinestone buttons. I have seen candles decoupaged with the pretty printed giftwrap tissue, and I have a lovely ivory and black toile piece - i might try that and see how they look in them. Here's a close-up of the button.

A piece of junk made into something pretty

Look at this little thing I found at a junk sale - I think it is some sort of vintage condiment caddy - it was an old and tarnished ( I love the tarnished pieces, but believe me this wasn't worth using like that). I painted it a sort of a shade of robins egg blue added a vintage rhinstone button to the indentation in the middle, a tiny rhinestone to the top underneath the handle...

Added some small glass vials I found on Etsy....

Added some buds from my garden, and voila! I love how it turned out.

Treasure trove, and good friends

Look at these wonderful things! My friend Linda was cleaning out some things and found a few vintage items she had collected and she she thought I'd like. Do I ever! She brought me that box and it was just like a little treasure chest to me.....All of it is wonderful - the 2 vintage vases are to die for, and also she gave me a set of 2 stacked sewing machine drawers which aren't pictured. I'll be painting that little baby a cottagey white. Aren't friends wonderful?

Knockout rose tree and little egg vases from The Pink Rose Cottage

Look at these cute little egg vases I got on sale from Holly at The Pink Rose Cottage.

Holly is a sweetie and you should take a moment and check out her items, linens and other wonderful vintage finds. Also check out her blog.

Have any of you tried the new KnockOut roses? They are absolutely all the rage. They are disease resistant and they bloom profusely. I got three last year and my sister got me this beautiful KnockOut rose tree.

I have some great new things I'll be adding to my webstore over the next couple of weeks. So many ideas, and so little time.....

Sad loss of my father-in-law, and remembrances of Mom

Hello, dearest friends, I am back after the sad loss of a wonderful man, my father-in-law. He was 92 - he was always kind to me and I will miss him greatly. I also lost my mom in December, from colon cancer - she bought me this tree a year ago and told me to remember her when it bloomed....

Mother's Days is coming up and I encourage all of you who are blessed to still have your mother with you to cherish your times together.

I have been trying my hand at some embellished Mother's Day (or for any day) jars for my shop. Take a look. Vintage jars are so much fun to decorate!
